  • Make Firefox behave properly

Fed up with Firefox hogging all your RAM?  Just type about:config into your location bar and (once you’ve confirmed you’re happy messing up your system) right click somewhere on the page and choose new»boolean.  Type in config.trim_on_minimize, press [OK] and select “true” in the next popup.  Restart Firefox and it’s job done.  Now Firefox will release some of that RAM when it’s minimised and let you get back to staring at your screensaver.
